Ancient or Contemporary

One of the most versatile art forms, Mosaic was developed nearly 7,000 years ago in the emerging civilizations of the Middle East.  Using stone, glass, tile, pebbles and shells, ancient artists used mosaics to decorate anything to which cement would adhere.

Theatres, baths, public spaces, palaces and private homes were all used to show art that has endured thousands of years.

Mosaic is still a popular decorative art with a myriad of uses.  Indoors and out: wall hangings, kitchens and bathrooms, showers, sink backsplashes, decks, tabletops, entries, atriums, pools, gardens, water features and of course, floors in any room of the house.
